Azra Erhat's book of the same name (Blue Voyage), in which she describes her wonderful boat trip, was first published in 1957. The cover of one of the new editions of the book is shown above.
First editions of the book, published in 1957, are now extremely rare in second-hand bookstores.
The revised version of the 1979 edition of "Blue Voyage" was published by Can Publications in 2005.
The 288-page book is currently available for purchase online.
The fact that this book described the Blue Voyage in inspiring detail, that intellectuals of the time came together and sailed as shown in the photo above, and that Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu painted his famous fish in Gocek Bay were the most important factors that sparked the Blue Voyage legend.
